The GEA is an association of 500 members composed of Galesburg/ Knox County SPED Coop, Illinois elementary and secondary teachers, educational support professionals, and retired educators. We help build strong local unity that negotiates for our members, lobby to effect excellence and equity in our school district and in public education, work to elect legislative candidates who are pro-education, provide professional development resources and ensure due process for our employees
